How to Play

Play the clip, trust your ears, and lock in each answer. A set is five tracks.

    Exact matches earn 1,000 points. Related genres can still earn partial credit.

    Place the year

    Pick the exact release year from four choices for another 500 points.

  3. 03
    Call the artist

    This one is optional. A full answer doubles your score; a recognized partial answer earns 1.5×.

You start at Level 1 with the 8 core genres. Every level unlocks more genres to tell apart and raises your score multiplier, up to all 37 genres at 2× on Level 10. Levels come from your lifetime score.

The clock runs only while the preview is playing. Your time multiplier falls evenly from 100% to 50% over 30 seconds, then stops falling.
